Dog Walks

We walk our dogs everyday ... rain, shine, cold, fog ... you name it we are out there. We usually leave at 6:15 AM and return about 7:15 AM. It is a 3.5 mile round trip and a good time is had by all ... well on most days.
Today, we left later ... it is still the holiday season at the Lorenzen House and we have been sleeping in. But the problem with leaving later,is that we encounter a lot more people on the walk with dogs and most of them do not practice proper dog etiquette.
I can't believe the amount of poop that is not picked up ... huge piles left for the world to walk through. It is really gross and I think Pacific Grove P.D. could make a nice little bundle on fining the perpetrators.
Then there are the people that have obnoxious dogs ... they know it, you know and still ... they let them come as close as possible ... teeth bared and high pitch bark turned up on max ... and then they just look at you like "sorry" or they say "bad dog" ... yeah right bad dog ... I say bad owner and go get a real leash ... if your dog is misbehaved he certainly has not earned the right to walk 20 feet ahead of you!!
Next Monday, we are back on the regualr early morning schedule and even though it is early, we have our regulars and they all have great dogs that know how to behave! Shout out to our dog pals ... Casey, Pepper, Peach, Poppy and Noel and the puggies ;p
